Dr. Leonie Slowey MVB CertAVP

Leonie, a Ballina native, qualified from UCD in 2006. She completed one year in mixed practice in Donegal before moving to Limerick to start her career in companion animal veterinary. Since then Leonie has worked throughout Australia, the UK and Ireland before moving back to her home county in 2014. She completed a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice through the University of Liverpool in 2017 (Master Level 7).

Leonie has particular interests in small animal medicine and dentistry. During her Certificate she focused mainly on Small Animal Medicine modules and she plans on completing another Certificate in Advanced Dentistry in the coming years. She also has a really soft spot for cats and making sure your furry feline friends have a stress free positive experience at All Paws Veterinary Hospital!

During her free time Leonie enjoys gardening, stand up paddling, and spending time with her family.
