SURGERY

At our veterinary hospital, we offer a wide range of surgical services, all performed in our dedicated surgery theatre. 

This means that the surgery theatre is always superclean. Along with the strict aseptic protocols used in surgery risk of post-operative infections is kept to an absolute minimum and as a result we do not routinely need to use antibiotics as they are not needed. This in turn reduces risks of antibiotic resistance in our patients.

On the day your pet comes in they will receive a full pre-anaesthetic health check. Your pet will then be given a pre-anaesthetic sedative to keep them calm and reduce their need for extra anaesthetic during the procedure. The pre-anaesthetic also has pain relief to ensure your pet is as pain free as possible. Anesthetic monitoring is provided by a registered veterinary nurse throughout surgery to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet. 

Our surgery theatre is equipped with modern, high end equipment to ensure that all procedures are performed to the highest standard.

Following surgery your pet will be recovered in the comfort of warm blankets whilst under the constant watchful eye of our experienced vet nurses.
